RE: connection problem
please explain in more detail how do you know you ARE connecting to "the web"? what are you trying to connect with, and how? I see this message was sent using a "3" dongle IS that the connection and computer you say does not work? we need
make/model of computer version of windows details of antivirus and firewall installed (if any) details of your ISP details of how you connect i.e make/model of modem or router description of the symptoms has it ever worked? or did it work and then stop? If so what happened to change it? if you are trying to connect using a dongle, which town do you live in?

RE: connection problem
just a further word If you are unable to answer these questions then there is no possibility of us being able to diagnose your problem through this forum Instead if you still need help then I suggest you place a work request on our main page at http://www.pciq.con That way one of our field service team can visit you and diagnose / resolve the problem for you
However - if you live in the country and you are trying to use a "3" dongle the problem may NOT be resolvable

RE: connection problem
hi , thanks for your response , ok here goes .
make and model is dell inspiron mini . running windows 7 via an orange dongle . thats how i know it connects because a small pop up screen when plugging in dongle gives this information . when purchased it came with free trial of norton anti everything , the licence for this has run out and because there is meant to be better than norton on the market i did not renew , everything was working fine until a couple of days ago , speaking to a friend last night he wondered if the norton thing had somehow put a kind of block on now its out of date . hope this can help , also hope you can , many thanks

RE: connection problem
uninstall the norton software, and then re-enable the windows firewall and see if it connects then If it does, then download and install one of the free antivirus programs - Microsoft Security Essentials will be good enough
Expired Norton software often does this - it locks out the firewall

RE: connection problem
Press teh Start Button, select Control Panel, and look for Uninstall a Program. This will give a list of installed programs. Find Norton in the list, highlight it and select Uninstall.
