Bleeps when turning on
Following my previous post.... HP Pavillion 6-1200, running Vista Home 32 bit, bleeps once on start up then constantly until I remove the battery. Checked battery-ok, checked memory-ok
When I press esc on startup the laptop will start and run well from the menu option so I assume it's not a motherboard problem. I've also tried restoring it to factory settings without any joy!
Any help greatly appreciated<

RE: Bleeps when turning on
If there is no discernable pattern to the beeps, but just a continuous stream of beeps, it is probably a key stuck on the keyboard or a short circuit in the keyboard. If you have a standard external keyboard, and are reasonably competent, you could try plugging in the external one, disconnecting the built in one and see if the problem goes away. If so, you probably just need a new keyboard.
