Failing to view or open up my laptop

Please am kindly asking 2 assist me with any help you can give me.....i have an advent 7140 laptop and yesterday i accidently deleted a program file and from there it has been switching itself on and off....and its writting hard drive corruption...! I will really appreciate if you can help..!!!

You have probably deleted a critical Windows file. You may find that using System Restore will fix it, but probably you will have to re-install Windows.

Be careful, if you use the manufacturer's recovery process it might wipe out all your data. You are probably better off trying to find someone locally who can help

deleting a single file won't make it switch off and on.....I think you've got something bigger going on.
If you've got hard corruption, you probably have a failing hard drive

interesting....both Google and Yahoo searches fail to find an Advent 7140. I presume its very old?
