mother board changed

hi ive changed my mother board on my acer x3200 and now it says media test failure check cable
nvidia boot agent
disk boot failure,insert system disk and press enter
can anybody tell me what this means in simple terms , do i need to buy a disk as it has no back up disk thanks for the help

Basically it is telling you that it cannot find the hard disk, or cannot find an operating system on the hard disk. The PC is therefore checking other possible ways to boot up, including booting from the network ( media test failure message).

The most likely cause is that you have not connected the hard disk correctly or not set the right values in the BIOS. Why did you change the motherboard, and what else could have failed?

thanks for the reply alan, i changed the mother board because the power was on but a blank screen and was told it was the mother board. what would you is the best way to fix this ?

check that your hard drives are plugged in properly
