RE: C Media sound card

if its got a VIA 8325 southbridge its more likely to need a VIA audio driver than a C-Media one

Whats the make / model of the motherboard? That report you've pasted in doesn't tell us that. All it gives are details of the chipset

RE: C Media sound card

congratulations
you have a motherboard from around 2004 made by one of the worst companies (in terms of support) who abandoned their entire motherboard range several years ago and withdrew ALL online support for their products
I can't find any documentation online which actually states which AC97 driver is required.
However based on past experience I'd expect there to be a VIA chip in there - not a C-Media one. Its worth trying those drivers, as with a VIA southbridge the VIA AC97 drivers should work anyway
Try downloading and installing these

Thats only a best guess, but worth a try
