I can''t quit imovie. Everything else is working fine, but it won''t let me close its window, quit

I can''t quit imovie. Everything else is working fine, but it won''t let me close its window, quit or delete from trash can, says it''s in use but I don''t know what''s going on. It''s also stopping me from shutting down, please help

I am not sure if you are using a PC or a Mac, but either way, you should be able to shut the machine down by holding the power button in for about 7-8 seconds.

It sounds as if this program has got in a loop, have you checked the supplier's web site for an updated version.

If this program is still sticking on and stoping you from closing your application, you can use task manager to close the stuck program by holding
Ctrl+Alt+Delete
key altogether at the same time, click on the stuck program and choose the option to end task.....
This will close the program for you.

as far as I can see iMovie is a macintosh-only application so there won't be a windows task manager
