RE: laptop

firstly what make / model of laptop is it, and how old
next, which version of windows is it running?
finally, are you talking about a windows password (i.e. at the windows logon screen where you have to type a password against your name) or a BIOS password (where you have a plain black or blue screen with just a simple empty box)

RE: laptop

Computer experts generally have tools that allow us to remove or 'crack' a Windows password. This only takes a few minutes so it wouldn't be very expensive if you wanted to call out a PCIQ Professional to bring your wars to an end.

RE: laptop

Andrew,

That will only work if the Admin password has not been set, and the policy to block admin logons has not been set. Additionally, if you delete the password, you will lose any stored passwords etc.
