limtedor no connectectivty

try go on line when using wirelessy, but get limted or no connectectivty,when i put in manual ip address i get a connnected message , but not on line i have 2 laptops running but same problem, and a dektop which is ok.when use a cable all ok.had this problem before and sorted it ok with entering the ip address manually and all ok but not this time. help kevin

Check that your wireless router is set up with DHCP enabled, and that you laptops aquire an IP address automatically. Re-boot all and see if that works.

It sounds to me as if you have the wireless encryption key wrong. Check what type of encryption (WEP or WPA) the router is using, and set the laptop to be the same. If it is WPA, also check whether you are using TKIP or AES coding.

There may be an old profile stored in the PC which is confusing it. Using the Wireless manager, delete any old profiles in the wifi configuration, and set it up from scratch.

hi all , kevin tried that but no , ayhow have solved it myself.done a test on the ariel no signal, as am a radio ham i have test gear for radio sinals, all ok now. any how many tnx rgrds kevin
