Epson DX4850

All lights flashing and E displayed. Have turned off and on. All cartridges are full.

Epsons have an internal counter which does this when you hit a certain number of prints. Its supposed to indicate that the waste ink pads are full. Often the trip happens way before this.
The theory is you take it to a service centre, who fit new pads, and reset the software in the printer. Its usually costs more than the printer is worth.....
You can download the software tool and reset them yourself, the only problem being that IF the pads really are full, you may end up with puddles under the printer
