flash player download error

my god daughters computer requires flash player for her homework , but every time i download it and then run the intaller i get the error message that the download manager has encountered a problem and needs to close , i did open my face book account and start a game i know requires flash player and that worked fine , i have un-installed the version of flash player that was on there but still get the error message when downloading and trying to open the installer, i have run avast anti virus and that comes up clean

Are you getting the right version of Flash from a reputable source? If Flash is working for your Facebook account, it sounds as if it is already installed.
