When i turned on my computer it allowed updates. Now when ever i turn on my computer an messages shows "Operating Low Power Mode". Screen is blank although monitor and computer lights are still on? Any advice please.Its a new computer and cant use it yet!!

Is it a laptop or a desktop? Some laptops will go into low power mode when the battery needs charging.

If it is a desktop, you may have changed the power settings accidentally. Go into Control Panel/Power Options and check.

Even if the screen is blank, you may find that pressing any key will cause it to come back to life. This is normal if the power save option is set to blank the screen after just a few minutes. Change the timeout to something longer, e.g. 30 or 60 minutes.

if its a new computer and its doing this "out of the box" take it back and ask for an exchange or refund
That sounds to me like a message from the screen telling you the base unit is not outputting a video signal - i.e. its not booting

Thank you for your messages.
It is a new computer.I have tried pressing buttons to get it to 'wake up'. Turned it off ect but everytime i turn it on the same messgae comes up and it switches mode? Thank you for all your help.
